Yes, all students are required to take the SummerStart seminar course (CLS 100). Topics include high school to college transition, academic expectations, university resources, critical thinking, study and time management skills and reflection.

School/college advisors will register students approximately one to two weeks prior to the start of the program. Students have the ability to discuss course options by contacting their academic advisor.

Many SummerStart courses have a maximum of 19 students. The small class sizes allow instructors to give students one-on-one attention and give students a better transition to college coursework.
