Get Calc Ready is self-paced math preparation program that uses ALEKS to help you strengthen your calculus skills before spring semester. You’ll get a learning plan built around your current skill level, with weekly millstones to keep you on tack.

Is this program for you?
- You haven’t been placed into calculus yet. If your Syracuse math placement didn’t land you in calculus but your major requires it, this program can help close the gap.
- You want a head start. Even if you’re already on track, brushing up now can make your spring math course feel more manageable.
What to expect
- Complete a short ALEKS assessment so the program knows where you’re starting from
- Get a personalized learning plan based on your results
- Work through modules at a pace that fits your schedule

- Program Dates: Wednesday, December 16 – Wednesday, January 6

Frequently Asked Questions
The cost of the program will be charged to your Bursar account and will appear on your spring semester bill.
If you decide you no longer wish to participate, please notify us at summerstart@syr.edu by December 15 at the latest. Students who have not notified us by that date will be responsible for the $45 program fee once the program begins.
