IUT is the process by which full-time undergraduate students are able to change their primary affiliation from one school/college to another within Syracuse University. This process is an opportunity for the following to apply to another school/college within SU:
- undeclared students
- students looking to dual major
- students who have realized their current program is no longer a good fit
- students who received an alternate admission offer
It is important to note that each school/college has their own admissions process with unique deadlines, requirements, and criteria to accept students through IUT. IUT admission is a competitive process, and some programs have limited spaces available. Meeting GPA requirements, application deadlines, etc. does not guarantee admission.
The Office of Retention and Student Success will host an IUT fair every year to provide students an opportunity to connect with the different schools/colleges and also explore different major and minor opportunities.
Our next IUT (Academic Major & Minor) Fair will be held Thursday, September 26, 1-4pm, in Bird Library.
Below is IUT information for each school/college along with links to their specific IUT page or process.
